We couldn't believe our luck when French snowboarding legend and surfing master Matthieu Crepel agreed to give us an interview at the recent Winter X Games in Tignes.
At just 26 years old, Mathieu has already achieved massive goals in his long snowboarding career, including French Big Air and Half Pipe Champion in 2003, at the ripe old age of eighteen! Matthieu has also competed at the prestigious Arctic Challenge in Norway and represented his country at the Vancouver Olympics in 2010.
Having won silver at the 2010 X Games Tignes, we were all in suspense to see how he would do this year, but secretly we reckon he was holding out for the Burn Real Snow Backcountry competition. Mathieu was invited to compete with seven other big name riders to make a back country video part from anywhere in the world. The winners were announced by Burn at the Winter X games Tignes.
