Les Boisses
Les Boisses (Tignes 1850m) is probably the quietest part of Tignes with just a couple of bars and restaurants, most of them located in hotels. If you're after a quieter (and cheaper) skiing holiday, this village is a good choice whilst also being close to the ski lifts. A free bus up to Le Lac runs every half hour until early evening with two buses later on.
There is a high speed bubble out of Les Boisses and a chairlift after that and you are at the Eye of the Needle above Tignes Le Lac (Aiguille Percee).
Tignes has invested a lot into Les Boisses over the last few years, with masses more apartments being built, including a new beginners ski area with covered magic carpet lifts. There continues to be lots of building work going on there in the summer.
There is a free car park open to anyone who wishes to use it during their ski holiday. It's easily accessible, you can ski there or jump on the free bus from Tignes Le Lac. The only downside is that if it's been snowing you will have to dig you car out before leaving the resort!
If you are staying in Les Brévières then you can time it so that you stop in Les Boisses for a quick drink and game of babifoot while the lifts close and then have a clear and empty run down the blue back into Les Brévières.
