Nordic
Cross-country skiing (also known as XC skiing) is a winter sport popular in most countries with large snowfields, primarily Northern Europe, Canada and Alaska. It is part of the Nordic skiing sport family, which also includes ski jumping, and a combination sport of cross-country skiing and ski jumping called Nordic combined.
In Tignes and Val d’Isère you can find a total of 52 km. of slopes dedicated to Nordic. Tignes has four loops, three of which are in the main resort at 2100 meters and are easy and flat. The fourth loop in Tignes Brévières winds around the lake. It is surrounded by trees and is a little more challenging.
